The Human Advantage

How to lead teams through uncertainty.

What if disruption isn’t the problem, but the stories we tell ourselves about it?

When the pressure rises, assumptions can start making the decisions. Help your people challenge the story, see their options and choose their next move.

  • Reframe challenges. Turn ‘we can’t’ into ‘what could we try?’
  • Think clearly under pressure. Separate what’s happening from what you’re assuming.
  • Lead through uncertainty. Give your team a clear next step, even when you don’t have every answer.

One framework to use when the next challenge hits:
Catch. Challenge. Change.

Wonderfully Uncomfortable

Doing hard things.

We all want to do hard things. So what stops us?

Motivation and discipline will only get us so far. This keynote helps your people reframe challenges, understand their fears and take action before they feel ready. Through experience, we discover what we’re actually capable of.

  • Reframe challenges. Explore a different way to see what’s in front of you.
  • Understand fear. Recognise what holds you back from taking the next step.
  • Do hard things. Take action before you feel ready and discover what you’re capable of.

Seeing Isn’t Believing

Biases and assumptions.

Andy’s TEDx talk

What if you’re not seeing the whole picture?

Our brains fill in the gaps, make quick assumptions and turn a little information into a confident story. Through psychology, mentalism and storytelling, this keynote reveals how easily perception can be shaped, and why seeing differently can change what happens next.

  • Recognise perception and bias. Notice where your mind fills in the gaps.
  • Question influence and misinformation. Challenge the confident story before accepting it.
  • See another perspective. Explore what you might be missing.

International keynote speaker FAQs

Planning an Asia-Pacific or worldwide event? Explore travel, timing, language and production below.

Is Andy available for events outside Australia?

Yes. Andy is Sydney-based and welcomes enquiries for Asia-Pacific and worldwide events. Each booking is subject to availability, travel feasibility and any destination-specific entry or work requirements.

Can the keynote suit teams from different countries?

The briefing explores the countries, roles and experience represented in your audience. Examples, language and audience participation can be shaped around that context, rather than assuming everyone shares the same background.

What language is the keynote delivered in?

The keynote is delivered in English. If your event needs interpretation or translated materials, discuss this at the enquiry stage so timing, production and the suitability of interactive elements can be reviewed.

How long is the keynote, and can we add a workshop?

Keynote running time and Q&A are agreed around your programme. The Leadership Mindset workshop offers a 60-minute breakout, half-day or full-day format, with group size and scope agreed to suit the team and workshop format.

How are international fees and travel arranged?

Share the destination, date, audience, available session time and event goals. The proposal will set out the speaking fee and agreed travel, accommodation and production arrangements. Entry and work requirements are reviewed before confirming the engagement.

What should our production team prepare?

Andy’s team will agree microphone, screen, staging, sound-check and audience-participation requirements with your organiser. Include any interpretation, recording or broadcast plans in the brief so these can be considered before booking.
